Yellow Jackets upset Cavaliers

For the second consecutive week, 2A Forest Hills defeated a 3A county school. Last week it was a win over Piedmont and last night it was a Yellow Jackets 24-17 upset win over the Cuthbertson Cavaliers.

Cuthbertson’s senior D1 commit quarterback, Austin Kendall, left the game in the second quarter with an injury and never returned. Kendall has verbally committed to Oklahoma.

With the game tied at 17, the senior Jacket running back, Floyd Louallen dove into the end zone with 3:20 left in the fourth quarter to put Forest Hills ahead 24-17.

The 4-1 Yellow Jackets will take on 3A Sun Valley (2-3) next week at home.

Cuthbertson, falling to 3-2, will host 5-0 Monroe next Friday night.
