A Dynamic Approach- Part I

Mike Stricker discussing proper kicking technique.

I recently had the opportunity to meet with Mike Stricker who is the Founder/President of Dynamic Performance Sports (DPS) here in Charlotte, NC. Mike is a graduate of Ohio State University with a degree in Physical Education and Coaching. Mike was a former player on the Charlotte Eagles Soccer Club and kicker for the NAFL Carolina Cowboys. The company was founded in 2004 and since that time, Mike and his staff have equipped student-athletes to reach their God-given potential on and off the field.

There are many choices for parents of a student-athlete when it comes to making decisions on camps, combines and training. The majority of parent feedback is that most of these specialized sports training organizations are overpriced and care little about their kids.

DPS takes a dynamic approach, one that has earned the respect and trust from parents and student-athletes from across the Carolinas. Mike and his staff engage not only the student-athlete but also the parents and in many cases the high school coach. This triangular relationship develops and nurtures the student-athlete to best reach his or her own potential while increasing confidence and self-esteem. Simply put, Dynamic Performance Sports has positively transformed the way a company interacts and develops the student-athlete of today.

In this first of a two part interview, Mike discusses the process and the positive approach Dynamic takes when training your child to improve their speed, strength and technique.
