Terrence Gittens is Named Parkwood's New Head Football Coach

Parkwood High School has named Terrence Gittens as their new head football coach to replace Tim Speakman, who stepped down in mid-March.

Gittens comes over from Cox Mill High School in Concord, North Carolina, where he was the Defensive Coordinator and Assistant Athletics Director.

According to  Parkwood's press release (attached below), Coach Gittens has an extensive background coaching football over a 20-year career, including stops at Union Pines and Pinecrest High Schools in NC, as well as experience in his home state of New York.

Parkwood is coming off its best winning percentage season since 2008, posting a  7-5 record (.583). The Rebels will graduate 26 seniors in June.
