Porter Ridge High School opened in 2005, and since that time, the football program has seen a ton of success and some of the best high school football players in the state.

Porter Ridge football has prided itself on strong defensive squads over the years. Head Coach Michael Hertz has coached many of them as the defensive coordinator during their championship state runs in 2010-2012.

Below, Hertz shares his thoughts on some of those defensive players, Stephan Zayachkowsky and Nick Vagnone.

Zayachkowsky (LB/DB/RB) is a rising senior. Nick Vagnone is a former PR graduate and now the linebacker coach at Keiser University in Florida.
