Marvin Ridge ended their season last year with an 8-3 overall record and 4-1 in the Southern Carolina Conference.

The Mavericks will see a returning Evan Medders at quarterback. The rising junior is coming off a sophomore year in which he passed for 1,953 yards and 18 touchdowns. He completed 66.7% of his passes and rushed for 738 yards and 10 TDs.

Offensively, Medders will rely on fellow rising junior wideouts Cole Searight and Jackson Gibbs. Last season, Searight caught 25 passes for 366 yards and five touchdowns. Gibbs saw limited action because of an injury but is back in '22, and having both Searight and Gibbs provides Medders and the Mavs a lethal receiving threat.
